PARTNER FOR PROGRESS: INVEST YOUR CSR IN LASTING IMPACT
WE OFFER SOLUTIONS FOR CHILD PROTECTION AND EMPOWERMENT
At TARA, we are committed to promoting the rights and well-being of children in Delhi and across India. Our programs focus on protecting vulnerable children from abuse while facilitating their development and education.
- Preventing Family Separation: Our TARA Outreach Centers operate at the community level to identify situations of abuse, mobilize family resources, and promote solutions that keep families together.
- We accommodate the child in need of care and protection on a judicial order: TARA Residential Care Program provides quality, long-term care and family-like accommodation for children who cannot live with their families. We make sure that these placements are done only when they are absolutely necessary. Per home, we have a maximum occupancy of 20 children as we aim for the holistic development of each child.
- We help the children fly their own wings: TARA Big Birds enables young adults who have grown up in TARA Homes to access autonomy, empowerment, and contribute to social change.
WE ARE 100% COMPLIANT WITH THE NORMS OF CHILD PROTECTION ENACTED BY THE GOVERNMENT
- All children are placed in TARA Homes by a Bench of Magistrates (Child Welfare Committee), and all placements are revised quarterly.
- All legal provisions are strictly implemented: Juvenile Justice Act 2015, Juvenile Justice Rules 2016, POCSO Act 2012, Tax Rules, FCRA, and Labour Laws.
- The programs are regularly inspected by the District Child Protection Unit, Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
WE ARE TRANSPARENT
- We provide detailed progress reports and utilization certificates to highlight the results and optimum fund utilization that help the donor company share it among its staff and customers proudly.
- Our accounts are audited by internal and external auditors, fully published on our website.
- We can receive foreign donations as we are registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Acts (FCRA).

Possible Ways to Support TARA
1. Corporate Donation
In order to survive, TARA needs the support of foundations and companies involved in Corporate Social Responsibility to help us grow safely and sustainably.
We work in close partnership with several corporate sponsors, whose donations help us cover our budgeted expenses. Progress reports are shared with corporate partners to update them on our activities, achievements, and challenges. These reports serve as a mechanism for accountability and transparency, allowing partners to assess the impact of their support and identify areas where additional assistance may be needed. Each donation from corporate sponsors is tax deductible in India.
2. Employee Engagement
A. Payroll Giving
In a nutshell, payroll giving is an organized monthly activity where the agreed-upon amount is directly deducted from your salary by your employer to the project of your choice. It is a great way to demonstrate your social commitment in an organized manner. Apart from payroll giving being easy and simple, it also initiates a ‘culture of giving’ in the organization and instills a team spirit among employees who feel linked to a larger cause.
B. Corporate Volunteering
Volunteering with an organization like TARA can provide impactful opportunities for volunteers to share their expertise with the beneficiaries, gain experience in the domain of child protection and empowerment, and broaden their perspectives.
C. Matching Grants
Employees can collect donations for TARA, and the organization will match the total amount raised. This effectively doubles the impact of each employee’s contribution, encouraging greater participation and support for vulnerable children.
DONATE AND SAVE TAX
When you donate to TARA, you can claim an 80G deduction at the time of filing your income tax return as an individual or a corporate. The Foundation is registered under Section 12A (a) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and is registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882. So, let’s invest now and help the vulnerable children get the life they truly deserve. Your tax-saving donation for a good cause can create a lasting impact in the lives of the future. We can receive foreign donations as we are registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Acts (FCRA).
